Light House

  • Light House is a tower with long giant pole situated at the shores of the sea.
  • Light House is used for communication between the ships and light house.
  • In previous days every ship used to have a light projector, two communicate to the shore of the sea.
  • Navy uses the morse code flash light to communicate with the authorities.
  • Below figure shows navy people sending light and watching the light signals.

Communication of Light:

  • Communication is done by the sequential ON and OFF of the light in particular series.
  • Long light indicates the dash and short light blink indicates the dot.
  • Latter the light house is using for indicating sea shore and safest place to anchor the ship.
  • Now Light House Contains the Red and Green light which indicates the 
    • Red is for not safe place to enter.
    • Green is for safe place to enter.
  • Generally green is indicated in left and red is indicated in right.
  • Dangerous or Emergency signal is passed by the continuous blink of light for 9 times.

Light House Construction:

  • A  light house light is made up of a very bright light called Beacon.
  • Beacon is placed in room surrounded by the glass, called Lantern Room.
  • There is room for watch room to watch the ship signals.
