Power of Alignment

  • Placing words or images in straight line (Horizontal / Vertical).

Types of alignment :

Horizontal Alignment :

  • Flush Left  :

  • This is most common alignment we use.
  • Most of the languages we read are from left to right.

  • Flush Right :

  • Aligning the images or words from the right. 
  • Alignment is mainly used in picture content materials.
  • In some languages (i.e., Arabic, Chinese and Japanese) .

  • Center :

  • Aligning the words or images in center.
  • Mostly used in creating cover pages, palm plates , logos or sign boards.
  • Can't use for large text documents.

  •  Justify :

  • It is combination of both flush left and flush right. 
  • Mostly used in newspaper, magazines and novels. 

Vertical Alignment :

  • Vertical Alignment is used in the grid structured pages.

  • Top Alignment :
  • Aligning words or images below the header.
  • Top Alignment is of three types :
  • Top Left
  • Top Centered
  • Top Right

  • Bottom Alignment:
  • Aligning words or images above the footer.
  • Bottom alignment is of three types :
  • Bottom Left
  • Bottom Centered
  • Bottom Right

  • Middle Alignment:
  • Aligning words or images between top and bottom alignment.
  • Middle alignment is of three types:
  • Middle Left
  • Middle Centered
  • Middle Right

  • In below figure we can see top, middle and bottom alignment. 

Names to left:

  • We assign all names to left because we read the letter from left t right.
  • Starting letter of the name starts from left side.

Numbers always to Right:

  • We always use numbers to right  in every sheet.
  • As we know the value of the numbers  towards left.(three's,two's,one's).
  • In order to the values of numbers correctly we assign towards right.

Numbers Totaled :

  • Always summation , subtraction and multiplication is done from right to left.
